Applications
Cables for electrical devices of power distribution systems, control systems and signal systems of various locomotives and urban rail vehicles. Mobile electrical appliances, power tools, instruments and meters, electronic equipment, telecommunications rooms, complete control cabinets, lighting projects, mobile connections of mechanical equipment and automation devices. Small spaces and occasions with low smoke, halogen-free, flame retardant, mineral oil resistance and fuel oil resistance requirements. Suitable for areas with high population density and high property value. Once a fire occurs, personnel and property safety must be protected. Suitable for dry or humid indoor fixed installation, and can also be used for non-continuous reciprocating motion without forced traction. Outdoor open-air installation, UV protection must be done.
Locomotive cables are mainly suitable for traction locomotives, subway vehicles, EMUs, railway freight (passenger) trains, lighting of automatic guided transport vehicles, electric doors, brake control, air compressors, communication equipment and other systems for power supply and control circuit wiring.

Structure
Conductor: Multiple strands of tinned copper wires twisted together, in accordance with the provisions of 5.2 in JB/T 6213.1-1992;
Category 5 conductor insulation: Special thin-walled irradiated cross-linked polyolefin;
Insulation color: No color spectrum is preferred, two-color or two-color spiral can be selected.

Features

  1. Small structure size
    Since polyolefin materials have excellent physical and mechanical properties and electrical insulation properties after irradiation, in the overall design of the cable, thin insulation structure and multiple strands of soft copper wire are used while ensuring performance, so that its overall structure is significantly smaller than that of rubber products of the same specification.
  2. Excellent high and low temperature resistance
    After irradiation, polyolefin materials change from thermoplastic to insoluble and infusible state, thereby significantly improving their heat resistance. The long-term operating temperature of the cable has increased from 70℃ to 125℃, greatly improving the current carrying capacity of cables with the same cross-section. In this way, cables with a smaller cross-section can be selected. This is of great significance to reducing design costs. At the same time, the cable can be laid and installed normally at -40℃, which can solve the problems of hardening and brittle cracking of polar materials such as PVC and CSM due to low-temperature laying. So as to meet the use and installation in colder areas such as the Northeast.
  3. Weight reduction
    Due to the greatly reduced outer diameter of the cable, the material density is also greatly reduced
  4. Small laying bending radius
    Due to the conductor using a multi-strand soft copper wire structure, the flexibility of the cable is increased, and its bending radius, when the outer diameter (D) of the cable is 20mm or less, should be no less than 3D. When the outer diameter (D) of the cable is 20mm or more, it should be no less than 5D. This allows the cable to be laid in a smaller space.
  5. Excellent softness
    Due to the use of polyolefin elastomer material, the bending force of the cable is small, which is similar to that of the rubber locomotive line, so it has excellent softness, which is more suitable for laying space in narrow environments, and can be constructed without great force and special installation tools.

  1. Rated voltage (AC) is divided into: 500V, 750V, 1500, 3000.
  2. The long-term working environment allowed for the cable core is 125℃, and the temperature should not exceed 250℃ during short circuit (short circuit time is 5S).
  3. The minimum operating environment temperature of the cable: -40℃ for non-high-strength thin-walled railway passenger car cables, and -60℃ for non-high-strength thin-walled railway passenger car cables;
  4. Non-high-strength thin-walled railway passenger car cables are allowed to be used in environments with various types of oil pollution, and high-strength thin-walled railway passenger car cables are allowed to be used in harsh environments with various types of oil pollution and non-high concentration acid and alkali pollution;
  5. The allowable bending radius of cable laying:
    When the cable diameter is less than or equal to 10mm, it shall not be greater than 2 times the outer diameter of the cable;
    When the cable diameter is greater than 10mm, it shall be less than or equal to 20mm, and shall not be greater than 4 times the outer diameter of the cable;
    When the cable diameter is greater than 20mm, it shall not be greater than 6 times the outer diameter of the cable.

Railway locomotive cables
Railway locomotive wires and cables are used for distribution systems, control systems, and electrical equipment cables for signal systems for railway passenger cars with rated voltages below 3KV. They are particularly suitable for narrow spaces and occasions with special requirements such as low smoke, halogen-free, and flame retardant.
Railway locomotive vehicle cables are suitable for wiring electrical equipment inside locomotive vehicles with AC rated voltages of 3000V and below. They have a soft structure and can be used in places contaminated by mineral oil and fuel oil. The long-term allowable operating temperature of the cable should not exceed 100℃.

In the field of rail transit cable signal transmission, TST cable, as an early enterprise in South China that passed the CRCC full certification, is also the designated domestic provider of special cables for the composite sensor series of the Fuxing running gear detection system. TST cable product line covers almost all parts of high-speed trains: speed, acceleration, liquid level, temperature + vibration composite sensors, traction, braking, converter systems, signal systems, instability systems, audio and video and lighting systems, seat systems, etc. It has been installed on more than 3,500 trains with a running mileage of over 2,400,000 kilometers, ranking first in the industry and providing a full range of sensor series special cable solutions for high-speed trains.
